Current status

Labrum repaired in January and reportedly healthy; Reid raves about his speed and added weight; clear WR2 floor with Hollywood Brown gone and Rice an off-field risk; a buy at his price

Recent injury

Torn labrum + dislocated left shoulder (Wk 1, 2025), played through it all year, surgery in January

The doctor's read

The shoulder is still the injury watch, a labrum repaired in January on a slight frame, which is why he stays a C on pure risk. On value, I am buying. The path to volume is clear: Hollywood Brown is gone, Kelce is heading into his age-37 season with the tank running low, and Rashee Rice carries real off-field and suspension risk given his decision-making, so even a healthy Rice leaves Worthy a clear WR2 floor, and any Rice absence pushes him toward WR1 volume. The on-field signals are good. A May video shows him taking smooth, full golf swings, a small sign the shoulder is moving freely, and Andy Reid has raved about him looking healthy, fast, and stronger after adding weight this offseason. Pair the league's fastest player with a Reid offense desperate for explosiveness and the big-play upside is real. At an ADP in the 90s and 100s, I am buying any shares I can get.

Clinical summary

Worthy's 2025 was defined by a shoulder injury he gutted through. On the third snap of the season (a friendly-fire collision with Travis Kelce) he tore his labrum and dislocated his left shoulder, then played through it the entire year in a brace, 650 of 653 snaps with the torn labrum, before having repair surgery in January. He also missed time with a Week 5 ankle injury, finishing with 14 games and a dip in production (42-532-1, down from a 59-638-6 rookie year). The toughness is real, but so are the concerns: a fresh shoulder surgery and a slight ~160-pound frame that leaves him vulnerable when absorbing contact.
